Hudson-Odoi’s return Date for official games revealed

Callum Hudson-Odoi is likely to be back on the pitch in official games in September, Daily Mail understands.

The teenager has been sidelined since April when he suffered an Achilles injury. On Tuesday, he has taken part in the first full training session with the squad.

However, Hudson-Odoi is not yet match-fit, and as much as Frank Lampard is eager to see him on the pitch, he will not rush the process.

The Blues are to play two Premier League games before the international break. After that, on 14 September, Chelsea are visiting Wolves.

It will be then when Callum Hudson-Odoi is most likely to make his first appearance under Lampard.

The same source has earlier claimed that the 18-year-old is set to put pen to paper for a new, five-year deal with Chelsea.

The negotiations have been ongoing through Hudson-Odoi’s recovery, but it is only now that Chelsea fans can be confident that the saga is drawing to a close.

As Daily Mail alleges, Chelsea have increased their wage offer to the teenager who is set to earn up to £200,000 per week.
