“I can’t believe it, How can you do that? – Blues fans blasts Lukaku for what he did after 1-0 defeat to Manchester City
Chelsea fans has slammed Romelu Lukaku after he shook hands with Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne following the 1-0 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
However, Shaking hands is a normal gesture among international teammates and it’s obvious the anger had more to do with Lukaku’s performance than the handshake.
Lukaku endured a miserable afternoon against the Premier League leaders while De Bruyne scored the winner at the Etihad Stadium for the league leaders.
Lukaku and De Bruyne are international teammates with Belgium but that didn’t stop Chelsea fans from slamming the striker for shaking hands with the Manchester City midfielder.
Lukaku wasted a glorious chance to put Chelsea in front early in the game and was denied by Ederson shortly after the restart with the score still at 0-0.

@DJONINO9 tweeted: “I can’t believe it. How can he do that after a game like that?”
However, following the match, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel also criticised Lukaku for his performance in the defeat to Manchester City.
“We had eight or nine offensive transitions, but had zero touches in the box,” Tuchel told BT Sport.
“That was a big problem today, the performance of our front players – a lack of position, timing and composure.
“We lost too many balls too easily. Romelu Lukaku sometimes needs to do the service, he is included in this, he had many ball losses in very promising circumstances, he had a huge chance.
“Of course we want to serve him, but he is part of the team, and the performance up front, we can do much better.”
