‘I can’t take it anymore, lost 5 finals at Wembley’ – Chelsea star fires strong revenge message to Liverpool
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount was part of the Chelsea team that lost the Carabao Cup final this season, the FA Cup final last season, and the FA Cup two years ago under Frank Lampard.
However, Mount is in the form of his life, having scored in 3 consecutive games – against Southampton, Real Madrid and Crystal Palace.
Mount who also lost a Championship playoff at the Wembley Stadium three years ago, has admitted that it’s now time for him to win a Cup final at the Wembley Stadium.
Ahead of the FA Cup final on May 14, Mount has said he’s targeting a Cup final victory against Liverpool this time around.
He said: “It’s definitely time for us to win a final at Wembley. For myself I think it’s been five finals I’ve lost.
“So now we have to put the pressure on ourselves to step up and it’s going to be a tough game. We remember the last Cup final we played very, very recently and now it’s time to get our payback.”
