I prefer Chelsea move – £150million player reveals why he prefers Chelsea move over Manchester United
West Ham remain adamant the England midfielder is not for sale and have slapped a £150million valuation on him to fend off interest.
According to Standard Sport, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice would still prefer a move to Chelsea over Manchester United, despite the uncertainty over what life after Roman Abramovich will be like at Stamford Bridge.
Rice has two years left on his West Ham United contract and the 23 year old England international has stalled on extending his contract as he eyes a return to Chelsea.
Chelsea had interest in signing Rice before the sanctions placed on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich by the UK government and it is unclear whether the new owners will want to spend that much to sign the midfielder.
Manchester United have strong interest in Rice as they look to replace Paul Pogba, who will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer and believe they can convince Rice especially with the uncertainty at Chelsea.
Rice has also recently revealed he wants to play Champions League football and a move to Manchester United won’t appeal to him with the Red Devils struggling to finish in the top four.
