Real Madrid and Manchester City’s quarterfinal Champions League match was decided on penalties.

After a nail-biting 3-3 draw at Santiago Bernabeu, both teams squared off in a 120-minute 1-1 draw at Etihad Stadium.

On penalties, Real Madrid emerged victorious in the match, 4–3.

Normally composed on the sidelines, Carlo Ancelotti has acknowledged that he was uneasy at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.

The Italian acknowledged that Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel was the last team to give him this kind of feeling.

Carlo Ancelotti said after playing Manchester City: “I am proud. Never leave Real Madrid for dead. Real Madrid never dies.

“I have not been this nervous since the comeback against Chelsea. How do I stay so calm? Sorry, I have no energy left.

Chelsea were a tough nut to crack in the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel. The Blues often made life difficult for Real Madrid.

The following year, Chelsea were beaten 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg, but turned around the in second leg going 3-0 up, and even had a fourth goal ruled out by VAR.
