I would love to play in La Liga: Chelsea player opens up on club exit
According to latest reports, via Tribal Football, Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has opened the door to playing in Spain.
However, The Spain international came up through the ranks of Real Madrid’s youth setup, but failed to make an impact for their first team. Therefore, he was allowed to join Bolton Wanderers in 2010.
Since then, Alonso has had spells at Fiorentina before he returned to England when the west London took him. The fullback has opened the door to playing in La Liga.
Alonso told AS: “I would love to play in LaLiga, all my life I have wanted to play and be here in Spain, but the circumstances have been different and not everything has depended on me.
“At the moment I am focused on this season and what has to be, will be.”
Asked about whether he could go to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, Alonso was adamant.
“Chelsea right now. I have a contract this and one more season.”
