According to Manchester United legend has named a surprising Chelsea player as his ‘dream’ signing for Manchester United.

However, Manchester United have had a second bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount rejected but Ferdinand has revealed 20 year old Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill is his dream signing for Manchester United.

Asked to name his ‘dream’ defensive signing, Ferdinand opted for Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, who spent last season on loan at Brighton.

“If I could get him, my dream one would be [Levi] Colwill, on-loan at Brighton from Chelsea,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel. “But I think Chelsea are going to keep him. I think they’ve seen how good he is now.”

Colwill trained with the senior England squad last week following the withdrawals of Lewis Dunk and Jude Bellingham.
