‘If you want to play regular football leave Chelsea’ — Former Chelsea star Wright-Phillips tells Chelsea star
Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi burst onto the scene as a buzzing teenager three seasons ago, and seemed to be a threat on the flanks in each game he played.
At some point under Maurizio Sarri, Hudson-Odoi was Chelsea’s most threatening player and even looked more dangerous than Pedro and Willian at the time.
After an Achilles injury that kept him out of action for six months, Hudson-Odoi is yet to reach those heights that made Bayern Munich offer three bids to Chelsea for a then 18-year-old.
Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has now urged Hudson-Odoi to leave the club now and go where he can play consistent football.
“I think whether he decides to realise his full potential or stick to being a fringe player is totally down to him,” he told Metro.co.uk via Bonus Finder.
“If he wants to be in and out of the team and play a role that he is doing now, then you stay at Chelsea.
“But, if you want to play regular football and show everyone why Bayern Munich were thinking about buying him, then he’s going to have to walk away and prove to people how good he is.”
