(Image) Chelsea Fan’s Cardboard Banner Needlessly Slates Struggling Striker

Chelsea fans have got the cardboard and felt-tip pens out. Football is well and truly back.

We as a fanbase have history with producing awfully designed banners slating our players. It was commonplace during the Rafa Benitez era.

A lady also branded Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa ‘The 3 rats’. Though, that one looked as though it’d been written by a four-year-old.

It’s happened again. Alvaro Morata, a man devoid of even a modicum of confidence, has been slated by a so-called Chelsea fan at Wembley.

Morata needs the support of the fans to regain his goal-scoring touch, but very few appear prepared to give it to him.

The below banner was spotted at Sunday’s Community Shield. Though witty, the person responsible for creating it is doing no good criticising our players in this manner.

It’s time for Chelsea fans to get behind Maurizio Sarri and his squad and help push them towards a positive and prosperous season.

Let’s start now.
