(Image): Report claims Conte just contacted two former Chelsea players to join him at Tottenham
Antonio Conte the former Chelsea coach, has finally got back to his coaching role and now the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.
However, a report from Nigeria claims that Tuchel has contacted former Blues Victor Moses and Mikel Obi to join him at Tottenham.
Meanwhile, the new Spurs boss Conte likes to play a three at the back system, and succeeded in that role as Chelsea boss, with Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso as his regular wing-backs.
Conte took Moses with him to Inter Milan, but Mikel and the Italian didn’t enjoy a good relationship as Mikel decided to play for Nigeria in the 2016 Olympics, much to the annoyance of Conte. Mikel didn’t make a single appearance under Conte.
The Nigerian report also claimed that Mikel’s contract with Kuwait SC was cancelled probably because of the Conte links.
Meanwhile, a journalist has revealed that Mikel was sacked for not being fit and competitive.
“Mikel’s performance was not good and he could not run, was not mobile and was playing like a tourist, that was the reason his contract was cancelled,” the journalist told totorinews.com
“His physical condition was very bad. He was walking on the pitch, instead of running like his other teammates, too bad.
“The club discovered later that he lacked strong physical condition for a professional footballer.”
