Trevoh Chalobah has spoken of his dream of challenging academy colleague and friend Tammy Abraham in breaking into the Chelsea first team.

Goal.com have the quotes from the midfielder, brother of former Blue Nathaniel, who explains how he wants to make the same step Tammy took from impressive Championship youngster to Chelsea starter.

“I’ve been really happy for them, I keep in contact with them almost every day as well – Reece, Mason, Fikayo, Tammy, all of them.

I’m just happy for them because it shows the hard work they’ve put in and going out on loan for a few years has paid off,” Chalobah enthused.

“If I do well myself, then hopefully next season I can join those boys I’ve grown up with as well,” the 20 year old continued.

He’s certainly showed he’s got the talent on successive loans in the second tier, and we can definitely see him being a useful Premier League player.

Whether or not he’s Chelsea standard remains to be seen. He will probably have to try and prove himself in the top flight, like his old comrade Abraham did at Swansea.
