“It can happen, but we scored two goals”: Tuchel reveals how Chelsea scored two goals against Manchester United
The Blues were the better team against Manchester United, but the best Thomas Tuchel’s side could get from the game was a 1-1 draw.
The Red Devils took the lead five minutes after the break, after a Jorginho mistake gifted Jadon Sancho the opening goal, as he just had to beat a helpless Edouard Mendy to score for United.
Chelsea pressed hard to get back into the game and win the match, but only a second half penalty from Jorginho was enough for the victory.
Reacting to Jorginho’s mistake after the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admitted that his side scored two goals in the match, as he hinted that United were so poor that they could only score from a Chelsea mistake.
“It can happen in football, unfortunately it happened twice to us, it also happened against Burnley,” Thomas Tuchel told BBC Sport after a 1-1 draw against Man United.
“I am absolutely happy with the performance. We dominated from the first minute, we were aggressive and never stopped attacking. Unfortunately we scored two goals, one for each side.”
