Italians want to get deal done with Chelsea over £300k-a-week powerhouse.
Roma want to sign Romelu Lukaku permanently when his season-long loan from Chelsea ends next summer.
Lukaku was at Inter Milan on loan last season and almost helped the Italians win the Champions League – but they were unable to get past the dominant Man City.
His loan deal at the Italians ended at the beginning of the summer – and there has been alot of speculation about his future – with many clubs linked with a possible deal after CHELSEA made the decision to let him leave.
But despite the fact Chelsea dont have a proven striker – the decision was made to allow Lukaku leave for Roma for the next 12 months, and he has been impressing at the Seria A side.
Lukaku has made a big impact at Roma, scoring nine times in 12 games, including a late winner against Lecce on Sunday, and they now want to make a move permanent.
Roma are delighted with the way the Belgium forward has settled at the club and he is very happy in Rome.
