Earlier this week, Willian posted a picture of him with his family on Instagram, urging fans to stick together during the pandemic.

“Stay strong, take care, be supportive! Let’s get over this difficult moment together!” he captioned the image.

The Brazilian has now revealed that he’s keen on returning to his homeland to be with his family, as his wife and daughters are in Brazil.

With the league on hold until the end of April, Willian has urged the club to let him leave and be with his family. The Chelsea players are expected to be on self-isolation, and Willian has now revealed that it’s like a war in London as there is shortage of food.

Willian told Gazeta Esportiva: “In the markets, everything is running out, there’s no more food. It’s like a war. I have employees here. They do this job very carefully. I’m buying to keep at home so no one needs to be leaving. “The less we leave, the better, also not to put the employees at risk.”

Willian also urged his compatriots back in Brazil to take the situation more seriously.

He added: “It’s really worrying. I follow the news. I think if people were aware, responsible, respectful, follow orders, stay at home, if everyone does what has to be done, what happened in Italy will not happen there. But, I saw some news, people with viruses, who knew they had it and weren’t quarantined…”
