‘JOHN TERRY NEEDED’ Lampard urged to make move and sign leader for Chelsea this month

Chelsea Boss Frank Lampard has been told that he needs to sign a John Terry type player for Chelsea this month

Despite all the rumours, and despite all the transfer speculation in the media on a daily basis, Lampard has so far failed to spend that £130 million he made during the summer transfer window from a number of sales to help improve his side.

It is no secret that we have been let down on a number of occasions this season with their inability to keep a clean-sheet and many in the media believed that Lampard would have signed a player that would help improve that defence, while also adding some leadership and experience.

And that was evident against the Arsenal in midweek as we were twice pegged back by the Gunners, who had to play the majority of the game with ten men after David Luiz saw red after taking down Tammy Abraham after just 25 minutes. now Karen Carney was critical of the Blues’ team after they threw away two leads against Arsenal on Tuesday night: “Who’s the manager on the pitch for Chelsea?” she asked on the Daily Express.

“I still don’t see it, I don’t see the game management. “If you talk about John Terry, he’s been gone for a while now, and they still haven’t replaced him.

“They still don’t have someone who is going to grab the game by the neck and say ‘this is the way we’re going to go’. “This is why they’re not killing off teams.”

Look, we love the Lamps, we love this exciting young side, but there comes a point that money needs to be spent and although we do not want the youngsters to be shoved to the bench, Lampard needs to add a leader to the side. Having someone like Terry in the squad would give us that edge and help the side finish off games, because we will struggle to compete at the top if we carry on like this.
