Jorginho reveals areas where he has improved since joining Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has highlighted the areas in which he believes he improved during his debut campaign in the Premier League.

Jorginho polarised opinion among the Chelsea community last season and was actually booed by his own supporters on multiple occasions during his first season in SW6.

The Italian was heavily associated with manager Maurizio Sarri, having arrived from Napoli with him, with the now Juventus manager himself not being too popular among the match-going fans.

Times have changed now, though. Sarri has moved on and Jorginho has already established himself as a key figure under Lampard. He puts that down to his improvement in defence.

Jorginho is quoted by Football Italia saying:

“I think I had a fantastic first season and it was fundamental for my growth process. I am stronger in defence now, I go into challenges with more determination and control the game. The Premier League has forced me to develop different skills.”

He’s only going to get better and better as he continues to feature in England’s top tier. He is already one of the best with the ball at his feet in the Premier League.

We’re lucky to have him, make no mistake.
