Journalist tells Chelsea fans incoming player must feel like a brand new signing for Pochettino ‘Chelsea depth squad coming in’

Journalist confirms Chelsea player must feel like a brand new signing for Pochettino ‘Chelsea depth squad coming in’

The Blues have had a very slow start to the season coming out the blocks very sluggishly. But things have started to improve.

A lot of the reasoning behind the slow start to the season is because of injuries to key players. Chelsea had an unprecedented amount of injuries to players in their squad, many of them have been very important players and new signings.

Probably the biggest hit has been new signing Christopher Nkunku, who has been sorely missed after a very impactful pre-season. He is yet to kick a ball competitively for Chelsea and Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino will be eager to get him back and in his starting line-up.

Journalist Ben Jacobs believes Nkunku will feel like a new signing for Chelsea when he finally does come back in, and he expects him to make a very positive and good impact.

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT:

“Chelsea have got players who are capable of scoring goals regularly, and the win against Burnley was a good example of that in many ways.

“Raheem Sterling was outstanding. Nicolas Jackson came off the bench and scored. Armando Broja was fit to start the game and, even though he didn’t score, he is another option for Pochettino. It all looks a little bit healthier.

“When you add Nkunku to the mix, Chelsea suddenly have got a little bit of depth and quality. Nkunku is going to feel like a brand new signing to Chelsea. He is effectively a brand new signing for Chelsea because he picked up his injury so early and in the pre-season period.”
