Just in: 4 Chelsea players gets new squad number as Blues announce new squad numbers for new season
Ahead of new season Chelsea have moved to confirm the jersey numbers of the playing squad for the 2021-22 season, and most of the players opted to retain their numbers from the previous campaign.
However, there was a switch for Mateo Kovacic who decided to change from No. 17 shirt to No. 8.
Tino Anjorin opted for No. 27 shirt, while Trevoh Chalobah went for the 14 shirt previously worn by Fikayo Tomori.
New goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli will wear the No. 13 shirt and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will continue with the No. 12 shirt he wore before heading out on loan.
The No. 9 shirt is currently unavailable for new signing Romelu Lukaku, and he’d wear the No. 18 shirt previously worn by Olivier Giroud.
