Just In: Abramovich ready to sign £100 million player in the summer after Chelsea failed to sign any player in January

Despite interest in several players during the January transfer window, the Blues failed to complete a deal for any of the club’s transfer targets.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard had expected to boost his attacking options by signing a forward during the January transfer window but the Blues were unable to complete a deal for any of our targets.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are prepared to spend big money in the summer to improve the squad after missing out on targets during the January transfer window.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a big admirer of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and he is reportedly ready to make the 19 year old winger a statement signing in the summer.

The report claims Chelsea have expressed a willingness to meet Dortmund’s valuation of the England international, which is believed to be around £100 million.

Dortmund acquired Sancho in 2018 for a fee in the region of £8million, after the player left Manchester City and they are set to make a huge profit on the winger.

Sancho has 17 Bundesliga appearances to his name so far this season, with 12 goals and 12 assists.
