According to The Sun, the Blues are interested in signing another Borussia Dortmund player with the club set to miss out on the signing of Jadon Sancho.
Chelsea had been linked with a summer move for Sancho but the winger could remain at Borussia Dortmund after the club’s CEO recently revealed the young England international wants to remain in Germany.
The Blues are interested in signing young Borussia Dortmund defender Nnamdi Collins, who is also attracting interest from Manchester City.
“Collins has attracted interest from a number of top clubs with his performances this season,” states the report.
“And while yet to make his first-team bow, the 16-year-old has been a regular for Dortmund’s under-17 side this term, making 20 appearances to date.
“The Blues have been chasing the German youth international to bolster their already flourishing academy. But according to Bild, Manchester City now lead the way.”
