Just in: four Chelsea players out of Malmo clash after missing final training
According to reports reaching us, four Chelsea players were absent from our final training session before Tuesday’s Champions League visit to Malmo.
Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount didn’t train with the squad ahead of Tuesday’s game against Malmo.
Lukaku and Werner were injured during the home meeting with Malmo a fortnight ago.
However, Kovacic suffered a hamstring injury at the end of training prior to the weekend’s Newcastle match. He is also expected to miss the next two games as a minimum. Mount fell ill on the eve of Saturday’s game.
