Just in: Jose Mourinho calls Chelsea player to join him at Roma as deal set to be finalized
It looks like the dominoes are falling into place right now involving Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Roma, but it still does hinge on one thing.
There is no doubt that Romelu Lukaku will soon be confirmed as a Chelsea player, but his announcement has yet to arrive. But that could be due to a number of things and the main reason being given is ‘finalising paperwork.’
Romelu Lukaku is still in Monaco together with his agent. Chelsea are finalizing paperworks together with Inter – there’s no problem or issue. He’ll be in London soon to complete his move to Chelsea. 🔵 #CFC
Chelsea have already prepared Romelu’s contract – now set to be signed.

Edin Dzeko is set to be his replacement at Inter Milan and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, he is due in Milan today to complete his move, which may or may not be the trigger to finally release Lukaku to Chelsea.
I’d find it hard to believe that both these deals hinge of Tammy Abraham going to Roma though, as that is still in doubt due to Abraham’s preference to join Arsenal instead.
However, he IS pondering the move to Roma according to Di Marzio, and the two clubs now have a total agreement for the move. They are just awaiting Abraham’s ‘yes’ to the deal. Abraham will give his definitive answer on Thursday this week.
Jose Mourinho himself has called and spoken to Abraham about the move.
