Kai Havertz ‘strange reaction’ to Thomas Muller awful miss as Germany suffer heavy defeat
Kai Havertz played a vital role in German’s defeat to England as the Chelsea star tried all means to allow is country to qualify to the next round.
Following a huge miss from both Timo Werner and Thomas Muller, Chelsea star Kai Havertz has reacted to their misses.
However, Timo Werner was first to take the wrong shot earlier in the game before Sterling in the second half banged the first goal of the game.
But just minutes after this, the Manchester City man misplaced a pass to Kai Havertz who immediately provided Muller with a superb pass that should have hanged the Germans back on level heights with the Three Lions.
It indeed was a disappointing one for the Chelsea man who thought they almost equalized the game.
Speaking after the game, Havertz appeared not to be blaming Muller for his miss as he quickly jumped on the player’s defense saying;
‘No (he doesn’t often miss those opportunities) but all offensive players had good chances so it’s not only about Thomas it’s about everybody the whole team.
‘We could’ve created more chances, we didn’t do that so it’s very tough to take that. England has a good squad, good players.
‘We have them too of course and we are very disappointed to lose the game but we have to keep on going and it’s hard to take for us.’
