Chelsea will take on Norwich City in the Premier League gameweek 3 on Saturday.
N’Golo Kante’s participation in the Carrow Road encounter has been put in doubt by Frank Lampard.
“Kante has got an injury, so we will assess that over 24 hours,” he told the pre-match presser on Friday.
“Ankle, an ankle sprain,” Frank replied when asked to clarify the Frenchman’s problem.
As for Tony Rudiger, who’s returned to training with the first team earlier this week, he won’t feature on Saturday.
Nevertheless, the centre-back could return next weekend as Chelsea host Sheffield United on August 31.
“Rudiger is not fit yet, hopefully, next week,” Lampard added. “Pedro missed open training only because he contributed a lot over three weeks.
That was just a precaution.”
