Kante finally reveals why he hates flashy cars, as Blues determined to agree deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante prefers his second-hand Mini Cooper S to a flashy sports car, which is the choice for so many footballers.
The France international has previously revealed why he doesn’t drive a flashy car.
Kante said back in 2017: “I’ve never been someone who loves a car and when I was young I didn’t have the ambition of a car or something like that.
“But my Mini, for the beginning, was good to learn to drive on the left.
“I got it in Leicester. And I still have it now. But it’s good.”
Blues determined to agree deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Jonas Hofmann has revealed that he feels pride at knowing that elite clubs are interested in signing him.
The 28-year-old German star’s future is under the focus this summer because of interest from clubs in England and Spain.
The Blues and Spurs have identified him as a possible signing this summer and Jonas has also popped up on the radar of La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
He is aware of the interest he has been attracting and said that he feels proud that some of the biggest clubs around the continent have taken note of his displays at Borussia Monchengladbach.
The midfielder believes the rumours around his long-term future are also recognition of how well he has been doing at Die Fohlen.
He told German broadcaster Sport1: “Without sounding arrogant, it makes me proud when your name is associated with such top clubs. [It is] a great recognition [of my performances].”
Gladbach senior member Max Eberl indicated that the cub could cash in on Hofmann if they receive a figure of around €40 million this summer.
It remains to be seen whether any team would be ready to shell out such fees for a 28-year-old in the current climate.
