Lampard gets new job ahead of next season, as Abramovich ‘would love’ to bring £100m powerhouse to Chelsea this summer
With the Euro 2020 tournament starting this weekend, former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has been handed a new job even though it is temporary.
The job is expected to run during the Euro 2020 tournament.
This comes as the latest report, which revealed that Lampard will join BBC as a pundit during the tournament scheduled to commence on Saturday, June 11th.
Lampard will join the likes of Darren Fletcher and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, alongside regulars Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand.
The reports revealed that the former England international is expected to be in the studio for England’s opening game against Croatia on Sunday.
Lampard will also be offering his opinion when France play Portugal on June 23.
The English former football star has been out of a coaching job since he was sacked at Stamford Bridge.
Recall that the Blues handed Lampard a sack letter after 18 months at the club because the Blues dropped out of the top four to the ninth spot on the Premier League table.
He was however replaced by Thomas Tuchel who led the Blues to victory in the Champions League last season and also helped them return to the top four on the log table.
Abramovich ‘would love’ to bring £100m powerhouse to Chelsea this summer
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a massive fan of Romelu Lukaku and would love to bring the Inter Milan striker back to the club, according to reports.
Lukaku spent three years of his career at Stamford Bridge between 2011 and 2014 but only made 15 first-team appearances, failing to score a single goal.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to add a prolific centre-forward to his squad to catapult the European champions into Premier League title contention next season, And Lukaku, who has 113 Premier League goals in 252 appearances added to 35 assists, is an option who Russian oligarch Abramovich is keen on per Eurosport.
Their report says the Chelsea owner is a huge admirer of Lukaku and is keen on the idea of bringing the Belgian back to the Bridge.
