Lampard issue update on Abraham injury

Frank Lampard has been having his standard pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game with Hull in the FA Cup tomorrow.

However, he was able to give more detail about the injury issue we saw Tammy suffer against Arsenal on Tuesday.

The striker spent the last ten minutes limping around the field, and in fact he rather got in the eyeline of Emerson in the dying moments as the defender failed to block Hector Bellerin’s left footed strike.

With all three subs already made, the striker was forced to play through the pain, and some were worried he might now face a long spell out.

Lampard said: “The good news is he hasn’t fractured anything. We were worried about a small fracture or a hairline fracture. Whether he is fit for the weekend we are not sure.”

So Tammy won’t be playing tomorrow, but as it’s an FA Cup game he would have sat it out anyway.

The question is whether we can get him ready for the league games to come.
