Lampard reveals one Chelsea player that helped Chelsea pass a big test against Leeds United
We all expected a difficult clash against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night, and a difficult game it was.
Leeds had gone ahead through Patrick Bamford early in the first half, but goals from Olivier Giroud, Kurt Zouma and Christian Pulisic helped Chelsea to a comeback victory.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was full of praise for midfielder N’Golo Kante, for helping Chelsea pass a big test in the middle of the park.
Kante worked so hard against a very mobile Leeds midfield, and Lampard was delighted.
“When you ask him to do anything on the football pitch in the midfield sense, when you tell him there is going to be a test put in front of him, he quietly just goes about it in the most incredible way,” said Lampard.
“Leeds’ midfield was so mobile that the test was always going to be there. Our midfield dealt with it brilliantly and N’Golo was a big part of that.”
