Chelsea are keen on Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and have prepared a €50m bid for the Frenchman, According to Sport Witness.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has already welcomed his first signing, Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, and is keen on welcoming his second signing as he looks to improve the squad for next season.
Reports today claimed Lampard is willing to let Jorginho and seven other players leave the club in the summer as he seeks to overhaul the squad and Aouar has been identified as a replacement for Jorginho.
Sport Witness claim Lyon managed to convince Aouar to stay last summer when there was interest from major European clubs, notably Manchester City but another impressive campaign from him has lowered their chances of doing the same this year.
Aouar impressed as Lyon beat Juventus 1-0 on Wednesday night and the Blues are expected to act fast to secure his signing as the club did in the signing of Ziyech from Ajax.
