Tariq Lamptey has paid farewell to his former teammates and coaches at Chelsea and Blues supporters after completing his deadline day transfer to Brighton.
“I would like to take this moment to say a big thank you to Chelsea FC for all the support and development over the years,” Lamptey wrote on Instagram.
“It’s been 12 years since I came to the club as a 7-year-old boy and during this period I’ve achieved and won a lot and learnt so much. I could only have dreamt of making my premier league debut against Arsenal at the Emirates, a proud day for me and my family!
“I would like to say a massive thank you to all the coaches who have helped my development over the years and given me advice. I have met some amazing coaches and staff members at the club who have become like my family.
“I would like to say a big thank you to my teammates, who in them I’ve made some brothers for life. Lastly, thank you to all the supporters for the continued support, I am saddened to be leaving such a special place that will forever be in my heart.”
Tariq Lamptey signed with the Seagulls on the deadline day. This season, the Blues academy graduate made his senior debut against Arsenal and was also involved in the Nottingham Forest and Hull City wins.
