Let’s keep him please – Mauricio Pochettino tells Todd Boehly not to sell 23-year-old-Chelsea star

According to Evening Standard via Sportskeeda, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on keeping hold of Blues midfielder Conor Gallagher, amid interest from several Premier League clubs.

The England international is currently attracting transfer interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham this summer.

However, after losing Mason Mount to Manchester United, Pochettino is keen on keeping Gallagher at the club as he looks keen to work with the player next season.

Gallagher made a combined total of 45 appearances for the Blues last season across all competitions. He also ended the 2022-23 football campaign with three goals and one assist.

Meanwhile, Gallagher has revealed he is looking forward to working with Pochettino at Chelsea.

Gallagher told Evening Standard: “He’s a top manager, everyone at Chelsea is happy he’s here and we’re looking forward to working with him.”

He added: “I love Chelsea. It has been a tough season for me and the whole team so I think we will just be working hard to get us back to where we belong.”
