LIVE: Chelsea and PSG both make €60m bids for player, as Man City star sends Champions League warning

The transfer window is finally opened and Chelsea are desperate to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

However, Chelsea have been linked with numerous players and are ready to go in all to sign some important players.

Meanwhile, according to reliable source Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea and PSG have both made €60 million (£52m/$73m) offers for Achraf Hakimi.

Inter will likely be forced into selling the 22-year-old due to the club’s unstable financial situation, and there are no shortage of suitors.

Chelsea could offer Emerson Palmieri or Andreas Christensen as a makeweight in the deal.

Man City star sends Champions League warning

Manchester City star Kyle Walker has admitted that he was disappointed his side didn’t go on to win the Champions League after losing to Chelsea in the final.

Pep Guardiola has transformed City to a top side, and they went on to win the Premier League and Carabao Cup in style.

Manchester City dominated the Premier League last season and many have hailed them as one of the greatest ever teams.

Walker has now revealed that the team must win the Champions League to earn any tag as one of the best. The City right-back then sent his warning across ahead of next season, as he revealed that his side will do everything possible to win the Champions League.

He told the Daily Mail: “I think with the squad we’ve got, with the manager we’ve got, with the club that we’re playing for, we should be going and winning the Champions League, we all know that.

“We all know that the players, at least since I’ve been there, have been signed to go and get it.

“Yeah, okay, we can go and win the Premier League and I think we’re so fortunate to win three in four years, but we do need a Champions League as a club because I hear a lot of people saying it’s probably one of the greatest Premier League teams ever.

“Okay, yeah, that’s great, fantastic for me to even be involved in a team like that, but to be classed as one of the best teams ever I think you need the Champions League and that’s something that we are missing.”
