Chelsea’s resounding 5-0 victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge increased our chances of making it into the European tournament the following year.
Fifteen minutes into the game, Cole Palmer scored the first goal, taking advantage of a lost ball in the West Ham box.
After Jarrod Bowen’s header struck the crossbar, West Ham came dangerously close to equalizing, but Chelsea took control of the game.
Conor Gallagher extended Chelsea’s lead at the 30-minute mark, followed by Noni Madueke who added a third with a header six minutes later.
In the second half, Nicolas Jackson netted twice, completing a thoroughly successful day for the Blues.
With only three matches remaining, Chelsea has moved up to seventh place, just two points behind sixth-placed Newcastle. Meanwhile, West Ham remain in ninth with two games left in their season.
