Mason Mount made it two goals in three Premier League appearances for Chelsea, as he helped Frank Lampard to claim his first win as manager of the club.
Since returning from his loan spell at Derby County, the 20-year-old has made quite the impression at Stamford Bridge.
However, the midfielder suffered an unfortunate injury against Norwich City, which forced him off in stoppage-time.
Lampard hopeful of good news on Mount injury
Lampard has revealed that he is hopeful Chelsea will receive positive news over Mount’s injury.
He took a knock to his calf, and is expected to be fully assessed over the coming days.
Original fears were that he suffered a strain, but that is not the case, according to Lampard.
Lampard revealed:
“Yeah. Mason took a knock to his calf, so that is better than a strain, obviously.
“So hopefully in a couple of days it will settle down, so hopefully that is good news. We will assess it.”
