Chelsea have already confirmed the signing of much valued playmaker Hakem Ziyech for the summer. Mason Mount has come out and suggested that he is really excited to play alongside “world class” Ziyech.

The Blues sealed a €40 million (£33m) deal for the Morocco international with Ajax. It will add to their already impressive attacking options with talents such as Christian Pulisic, Mount, Tammy Abraham. It will also see much competition for a place in the starting line-up. However, Mount is not too much bothered about that looks forward to welcoming the talented Ziyech to the Stamford Bridge.

The 27 year old has been regarded as one of the most productive and creative players around Europe during his four year stint at the Johan Cruyff Arena. He scored 21 goals across all competitions last season and was pivotal in Ajax making the semis of the Champions League (CL). He has again been good this season, hitting the back of the net eight times and providing another 21 assists in the current campaign.

On the other hand, 21 year old Mount also plays in a similar sort of role for Frank Lampard’s team. He had a break through season this year and has even made his England debut already. He had an impressive stint under Lampard at Derby last season in the Championship, which prompted the manager to show faith in the youngster and he has not disappointed him.

Mount said during a Combat Corona FIFA tournament , “So two years ago I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously how good of a player he is.

“So obviously it’s another amazing, world-class player joining the club. So yeah buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him.

” He is not the only one though that would be competing for a place with Ziyech, as 24 year old Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also made a comeback and was named on the bench for two of the last three PL games for Chelsea. He is yet to play for them this season though. He would be ready to make a strong comeback and recover for his lost game time this season.
