Chelsea haven’t had a new player play for the club this season due to the transfer ban placed on the club and the club’s inability to make any signings in the January transfer window.
However, things will be different next season as the Blues have since confirmed the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and a lot of deals are expected to be concluded when the coronavirus pandemic is done with, and the new season kicks off.
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has given his own verdict on Ziyech, and rates the new Chelsea signing highly, especially after playing against him during his time in the Netherlands, when he played on loan for Vitesse.
During a Combat Corona FIFA tournament for charity, Mount was asked if he was looking to playing with Ziyech, he replied: “Yeah. So two years ago I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously how good of a player he is.
“So obviously it’s another amazing, world-class player joining the club. So yeah buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him.”
