Ricardo Carvalho is rated as one of the best defenders not only in Chelsea’s history but the Premier League as well.
The Portuguese produced some extraordinary piece of defending during his time at the club, and he formed a wonderful partnership with former skipper, John Terry.
Carvalho has now hailed his former teammate and current Blues manager Frank Lampard, for the work he has done this season, and has backed him to perform better next season.
“Given he lost Eden Hazard, so far he’s done very well,” the ex-Portugal international told the Daily Mail.
“He achieved a Champions League place for next season which of course is very important, and has brought in young, talented players.
“Frank is building a very good team and I expect next year he can fight for the title with those players, for sure.”
