Kick-off: Saturday, 15 September, 2018. 14:00 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea play host to Cardiff on Saturday afternoon as Premier League football resumes this weekend.

Chelsea enter this game in good form at the back of four straight wins, while Cardiff are yet to get a win in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea are 2nd on the table just behind leaders Liverpool on goal difference. For Neil Warnock’s men, they are 16th on the log, with two points out of a possible 12.

Chelsea’s attack will fancy having a go at Cardiff’s defence that’s already conceded five goals this season.

Chelsea have won 10 of the past 12 league meetings, including both previous Premier League fixtures in 2013-14. The last time Chelsea hosted Cardiff, it was a 4-1 victory for the Blues.

Cardiff have lost four successive visits to Chelsea in all competitions since a 1-0 victory in the second tier in April 1981. That is their only win in the last nine attempts at Stamford Bridge.

Cardiff’s most recent victory against Chelsea was by 2-1 at home in the League Cup third round in October 1986.

My prediction: History and form favour Chelsea to get the win on Saturday, and I’m tipping the Blues to win this game 3-0.
