Mateo Kovacic admits Eden Hazard ‘asked him’ about Real Madrid

The Croat believes the Belgian is ‘an incredible player’.
Los Blancos’ midfielder reveals Chelsea’s no.10 asked some questions about the Spanish side.

However, Kovacic insists he and the winger are ‘fully focuses’ on The Blues.

Eden Hazard’s rumoured transfer to Real Madrid is an old story every single one of us is aware of. One day the Belgian admits it’s always been his dream to move to Los Blancos, the other the winger states he wouldn’t like to rule out the possibility of him finishing his career at Stamford Bridge. However, seems like the player is really considering his move to La Liga as Mateo Kovacic, Madrid’s loanee currently at Chelsea, admitted in an interview with Sky Sports our no.10 had asked him about the Spanish side.

“For me, he is an incredible player. I did not know he was that good and he can easily be one of the two or three best players in the world. He asked me how it was there (at Real) but we are looking forward to having a great season together, to be fully concentrated on Chelsea. He is focused a lot on doing great things with Chelsea.”

According to Onda Cero, Real Madrid are considering an offer for Hazard which would see Isco and Kovacic leaving Santiago Bernabeu in some sort of a swap deal. Speaking of the 26-year-old Los Blancos’ midfielder, he has recently lost his place in the team’s starting line-up since Santiago Solari’s arrival at the Bernabeu.

Speaking of the Belgian’s possible departure, Chelsea’s former midfielder Michael Essien has stated it’s always hard to reject an offer from the club of Real Madrid’s calibre:

“Hazard is one of the best players in the world. He’s been playing in the Premier League very well and looks fantastic at the moment. The interest of Real Madrid, I only hear from people in the media. But I mean when Real Madrid come calling… every player would love to play for them. He’s happy at Chelsea though and hopefully we can keep him.”
