Mateo Kovacic has finally ended his dry spell which lasted for 122 games since January 29, 2017, when he scored for Real Madrid in a 3-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga.

On Wednesday, his long-range shot helped Chelsea earn one point in the Champions League clash with another Spanish team, Valencia.
After the game, Kovacic took to social media to share his feelings:
“And I almost gave up on the ‘goal thing'”, Kovacic tweeted. “Happy to score and help the team win a valuable point.”
The Croatian midfielder has been ridiculed for his inability to score even by his own fans. Well, no one’s laughing now, are they?
More goals to come he said.
