Great News: Maurizio Sarri Discusses Possibility Of Signing On-loan Midfielder Permanently

Maurizio Sarri has suggested that he would like Mateo Kovacic’s loan deal to become permanent next summer.

Kovacic is officially a Chelsea player on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, but there’s not a Blues fan out there who isn’t hoping that there’s some kind of agreement in place to make it permanent in the summer of 2019.

Especially considering his first two performances in a Chelsea shirt were used as a demonstration of the quality the Croatian possesses, Sarri will no doubt be another who is eagerly waiting to see if we are able to get the deal done.

In fact, he’s pretty much admitted himself that he wants Kovacic to stay, but insists that it’s too early to be discussing it.

He’s quoted by 90min saying:

“It’s too early to say. I like him and hopefully he could stay here.”

After Kovacic spends a season in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd, he’ll be begging for a permanent contract. Don’t fear, Chelsea fans!
