CHELSEA will be monitoring the recent comments from Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, as they weigh up the option of making a move in January.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly losing patience with Alvaro Morata and has placed Icardi at the top of his transfer wish-list.
Icardi is currently in Barcelona with his Inter team-mates, as he prepares to face his old club in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old reiterated how “very happy” he is living in Milan with his family and admitted he is not currently seeking a move away from Inter.
The Argentine did, however, fuel speculation that the door isn’t completely closed when he said that offers wouldn’t be rejected outright.

The unsettled striker has a total of 13 league goals in 39 appearances and struggled to establish himself as Chelsea’s main goalscorer, with only two goals in eight league appearances this season.
Icardi, on the other hand, is one of the most deadly finishers in world football.
His impressive goals-to-games ratio has sparked the interest of several of Europe’s elite clubs – Icardi has scored 120 times in 221 Serie A appearances.
His current contract expires in the summer of 2021 and he has a release clause of £97.5million – but a club will not be able to activate this until the summer transfer window.
Inter are looking to tie down their star player and discussions are taking place over a new longer and improved deal.
But at the moment Icardi appears content with his role at Inter.
“There are always offers, but I am happy at Milan and very calm,” he said.
“I have the opportunity to play in the Champions League, I am captain and I want to get even stronger here.”
