Midfielder expected to make permanent Chelsea summer switch, Blues opened talks to sign €60m player, as Chelsea identify Pulisic replacement
According to reports, Scott Parker’s Fulham are confident they can secure Chelsea’s on-loan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a permanent deal in the summer.
Loftus-Cheek, 25, joined Chelsea’s youth academy all the way back in 2005.
However, after successfully navigating his way through the Blues’ youth ranks, Loftus-Cheek has always struggled to nail down a place in the club’s senior first-team.
Despite making his senior debut all the way back in 2014, the English midfielder has managed just 82 first-team appearances.
After continuing to become increasingly more frustrated by his lack of playing time, Loftus-Cheek was given the green light to join Fulham on a season-long loan last summer.
The 25-year-old’s time across town at Craven Cottage has proved to be a good move, for all parties involved.
Parker has included Loftus-Cheek in 24 matches, in all competitions already this season and according to a recent report from The Sun, the Londoners would love to make his move permanent.
It has been claimed that Fulham are growing increasingly more confident that should they beat the Premier League’s drop, they’ll be able to convince Chelsea to sign a permanent move off.
Chelsea have opened talks to sign €60m-rated goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to reports, Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United have already opened talks with super-agent Mino Raiola for AC Milan’s highly-rated goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma, 22, has spent his entire career at AC Milan, and after making his senior debut aged just 16, the commanding keeper has grown to become one of Europe’s most highly-rated shot-stoppers.
Despite his long-standing place at the heart of the Rossenari’s defence, the Italian’s long-term future has been cast into doubt as his contract edges closer to expiring this summer.
According to recent claims from transfer journalist Duncan Castle, who recently spoke on ‘The Transfer Window Podcast‘, two clubs leading the charge to sign Donnarumma in the summer are Chelsea and United.
Despite signing Edouard Mendy in the summer, Castles’ recent claims suggest Thomas Tuchel still feels he is lacking that cutting edge in between the sticks.
However, United’s goalkeeping situation is one of particular interest – With two of the best goalkeepers in David De Gea and Dean Henderson both among their ranks, it appears the club’s hierarchy are finding it tough to keep both shot-stoppers content.
Chelsea identify Pulisic replacement
Thomas Tuchel has reportedly highlighted Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as a long-term replacement for out-of-favour winger Christian Pulisic.
After failing to start any Premier League matches under Tuchel, Pulisic has seen his long-term Chelsea future become the subject of much speculation.
The talented American winger, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, is rumoured to be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit.
It has recently been claimed that a host of top clubs have been alerted by Pulisic’s uncertain future, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, according to a recent report from the Daily Mail, the Blues’ hierarchy have already identified Coman as a possible replacement for their rapid winger.
It has been claimed that Coman dreams of playing in England’s top-flight, something both Chelsea or United could look to use to their advantage.
Although Callum Hudson-Odoi’s recent emergence in the Blues’ first-team is believed to have scuppered Chelsea’s transfer plans to bring in a new wide-attacker, a player of Coman’s stature is often hard to pass up.
