Mudryk sends message to impressing boss ahead of possible Chelsea move

The Blues star Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a message to Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi amid speculation that we are interested in a potential move.

Despite the fact that Chelsea have Frank Lampard in charge right now after the sacking of Graham Potter – the board are looking for a more long term solution to the club legend.

The likes of Julian Nagelsmann – Luis Enrique and even Jose Mourinho have been linked with the club over the past few weeks, with all reportedly interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.

But Mudryk, who played under De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk, appears to have signaled who his preferred candidate might be after the two were reunited at Stamford Bridge last week where Brighton sealed a 2-1 over the Blues.

‘Nice to meet you again,’ Mudryk, along with a heart emoji and a picture of the two sharing a warm embrace.

De Zerbi has lavished praise on the Ukraine international, labelling him a future Ballon d’Or winner:

‘Mudryk is a top player and I think for him, it’s difficult to start in another country, in another team.

‘Everyone knows the situation of CHELSEA  this year, it’s very difficult especially for a young player, for a young guy.

‘But, he has the quality to become a star in the Premier League.’
