“My man, you’re always a beast”– Blues fans hails Chelsea star after terrific display against Southampton
Following Chelsea victory against Southampton, Chelsea fans are heaping praise on the performance of backup goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after his terrific display against Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Spanish shot-stopper has not always had the easiest time since moving to Stamford Bridge, and ended up losing his place as the club’s number one to the excellent Edouard Mendy last season.
Still, Kepa is now showing himself to be a top backup option for the Blues, as he made some crucial saves both in normal time and in the penalty shoot-out as Thomas Tuchel’s under-strength side edged past Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
Kepa deserves huge credit for the way he’s continued to work hard and put in a shift whenever he’s been called upon, as many other players in his position could easily have let their morale and their focus drop completely.
Once a pantomime hero among the Chelsea fans, Kepa is now earning huge praise from a number of supporters on Twitter after his performance this evening…
