‘Now we’re talking’ ‘Perfect Gallagher Replacement’ – Fans reacts after Chelsea scout 13-Goal midfielder

Chelsea watched Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners in action on Thursday night, according to HITC Football.

The website claims that Blues scouts were in attendance to see the Dutchman put in an impressive performance during Atalanta’s shock 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield. Supporters on X are split on whether Koopmeiners would be a good addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad:

Koopmeiners has been prolific in front of goal this season
The Netherlands international has caught the eye with his goalscoring since the beginning of the campaign, hitting the back of the net 13 times in all competitions.

That is an extremely good return for someone who ostensibly plays as a no.8 or no.10. He would arguably be an upgrade on Conor Gallagher, who could potentially leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Chelsea should have a good chance of landing the player
In a recent interview, Koopmeiners made it known that he is keen on leaving Atalanta this summer. He has mentioned interest from other clubs in Italy, including Napoli and Juventus.

However, the 26-year-old also expressed he was keen on moving to the Premier League. Reports suggest he could cost as much as £60m so that may prove to be a big obstacle if Chelsea do decide to step up their attempts to sign the midfielder.

@Tommycodess: Good Gallagher replacement
But misses a lot of chances.

@Eremosel3: Now we’re talking

@ewencfc: He missed a 1 on 1 with Liverpool’s keeper, he’ll fit right in with us????

@NurudeenDIdris: No one in football at the moment gives long passes better than this guy. He would have been perfect for Liverpool or United.

If we sign him and Osimhen, we would not stop scoring goals.

@RipSaint444: This guy was just average

@CarefreeAdz: Perfect Gallagher replacement

@mideAyo_xx: Another average player
