OFFICIAL: Belgian club and Chelsea agree 3-year transfer deal for England midfielder
According to latest reports, Belgian club side and the Blues have agreed on a transfer of England midfielder on a three year deal with another option.
The England midfielder, Marcel Lewis has finally dumped Chelsea to sign for Belgian side union Saint-Gilloise.
According to reports, the English youngster joined the Belgian club on a free transfer.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the prospects in Chelsea academy but he has taken up a new challenge in Belgium.
The Belgian side released an official statement on their website to confirm the signing of Marcel Lewis from Chelsea.
“The Union is delighted to welcome a second summer transfer in the person of Marcel Lewis!,” the club stated.
“Our new 19-year-old attacking midfielder played this season at Chelsea and more precisely in the Premier League 2.
With the Blues, he played 16 matches during which he scored 4 goals and distributed 6 assists.
“Before that, Marcel had played in Chelsea’s age teams since 2015, which he had joined from Cambridge, his birthplace.
“Today he signed a 3 year contract with an option for an additional year at the Union!”
