Palace boss Vieira reveals why ‘Teams’ will suffer a lot under Chelsea after 3-0 loss

Following the 3-0 defeat under Chelsea, Palace boss Patrick Vierra has revealed why teams will suffer alot under Chelsea.

After the game, Vieira said: “We had a game that we expected, a really challenging and difficult one. We tried to frustrate them but the free-kick we conceded from made it even more difficult,” Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira told Sky Sports after the game against Chelsea.

“We defended well at times and when we had the ball we lost it straight after and that was a frustration. Any team that comes to Stamford Bridge will suffer.

“[W]e lacked a bit of discipline at times but Chelsea were by far the better team. We have to try and improve for the next game.”

“It was a tough day,” he added, speaking with the BBC. “It’s not easy to accept conceding three goals. But that was a hard one.

“We are talking about one of the best teams in Europe. All credit to them, they played really well.”

It was the Frenchman’s first Premier League game as a manager. It couldn’t have gone worse for him as his side lost 3-0.

Chelsea cruised past the lacklustre Palace side and will now take on Arsenal, Vieira’s former side, on Sunday, August 22.
