Chelsea winger Kenedy has reportedly undergone a medical ahead of a loan switch to Newcastle United.
Kenedy spent the final five-months on-loan with Newcastle, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the Premier League.
Rafa Benitez was prepared to provide him with regular football in England’s top-flight, which is a rarity. Loaning him back to the Magpies appears to be a shrewd move.
The deal looks to be on the verge of being completed. According to Sky Sports, Kenedy has already taken his medical ahead of a proposed return to Newcastle.
Sky Sports note in their report that there is no option to buy at the end of the season, as it was previously thought there may be.
Kenedy can play a full season of regular football in the Premier League and return in 2019 ready to make an impact on the Chelsea first-team.
