Pochettino confirms Chelsea talks to happen for £40M valued star

Maurico Pochettino has confirmed that he will hold talks with Levi Colwill about his future at Chelsea.

The England U21 international centre-back has made 21 appearances for Brighton and the south coast club are looking to sign him in a permanent deal, although they face competition from Liverpool, City and Spurs.

It has also been claimed that the club are willing to give him a chance in the side next season and are already thinking about handing Colwill a nice big contract to sign over the next few weeks.

Mauricio says conversations will follow with Levi Colwill – HE SAID: ‘He is a Chelsea player and in the last few months [on loan] at Brighton he was playing really well.

‘He is one of our players and I need to talk with him when he arrives next week,’ Pochettino said.

‘I need to get a feel for him. I need to hear what he has in his mind, what he expects. And then, of course, for him to listen to what I expect from him.’

However, It is a known fact that Pochettino likes to give the youngsters a chance to shine in that first team – he has done it at all the clubs he has managed so far in his career.

Colwill proved last season at Brighton that he is more than good enough for the Premier League – he has proved that he is ready to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

He could be learning from Thiago Silva – one of the very best in the game – which would mean he could develop into a real star of the game.
